Led the product design and development from incubation to commercialisation of the Wonderbill app. The app’s main purpose, was to aggregate online and offline bills, making them simple to manage.

Initial analysis

We conducted many Qualitative studies, using small focus groups to obtain insights into people’s perceptions and behaviour toward bills. It was clear from the start that people had very negative opinions of bills and found them hard to track, confusing, and time consuming.

I developed a brand that desensitised the subject matter using colour and playful interaction. The brand mark was derived from the onboarding process and changed shape in accordance with the number of bill categories selected.

Technical restrictions

Scraping data from multiple online accounts proved to be a very complex, restrictive process. Primarily the inconsistent and corrupted data returned alongside time-restricted information. I tackled these issues by working extremely closely with the development team to deliver a product that could flex according to the current information returned. This enabled the information displayed on the customer dashboard to always be valuable and correct even if we didn’t have the complete picture.
